SUPPORT AT HOME SERVICES, PRICING AND FEES

Great Care, as an approved provider, is committed to supporting you at every step of your journey under the Support at Home program. This fee schedule outlines the prices for common services available through Support at Home and transitioned Home Care Package (HCP) recipients.
Transitioned HCP care recipients will continue to receive an equivalent level of funding (including supplements) as their previous Home Care Package. Your previous annual package amount is divided into four to create a quarterly Support at Home budget.
All costs listed will be deducted from your overall package budget.
Please note: This list covers only the most commonly used services. We understand that your needs may extend beyond what we directly offer or that you may prefer to use your own service provider. Additional services delivered by trusted third-party providers, such as allied health, gardening, transport, home maintenance, and meal delivery can also be arranged.
The final price includes the provider’s actual cost plus up to 10% to cover administration, oversight, and management of the purchase process. This includes ensuring third-party providers meet their obligations under the Aged Care Act.
You may choose from our trusted third-party providers or nominate a provider of your choice. Supports from external partners such as allied health, home maintenance, or aids and assistive technology can be included in your Care Plan.
We will always check prices and arrange an agreement before services commence to ensure quality, safety, and compliance.
Other Support Services
This may include access to the Assistive Technology and Home Modifications Scheme. Through the Assistive Technology and Home Modification Scheme, you can access tailored equipment and make changes to your home that support your wellbeing. This may include mobility aids, safety modifications, and equipment to support daily living.
We will work with you to make sure everything is set up properly and that you feel confident using it. Services arranged through a third party will incur an additional 10% administration fee for coordination, oversight, and follow-up.
Restorative Care
Restorative Care is designed to help you maintain or regain independence through short-term, intensive support. This program focuses on early intervention, clinical and allied health input, and personalised care planning.
If you are eligible, you will receive a tailored care plan aligned with your goals. Restorative Care is funded separately from your regular Support at Home budget and provides additional support when you need it most.
If this pathway is suitable for you, we are happy to guide you through the application process to ensure it is smooth and stress-free.
End of Life Care
End of Life Care is funded separately from all other Support at Home classifications. If you transition to this pathway, it will replace your existing Support at Home classification.
Cancellations
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel a service. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged at the full service rate. This fee may be waived in emergency situations.
Our Approach to Care Management
Care management is a key part of your Support at Home services. It ensures your care is well-coordinated, responsive, and aligned with your goals.
Your Care Partner works collaboratively with:
- You and your family
- Allied health professionals
- Service providers
- Advocacy and partner organisations (as needed)

The above quarterly Budgets are effective from 1 November 2025 and are subject to change in July each year each year indexation in line with indexation
Under Support at Home, you may be asked to pay a contribution towards the services you receive. Payment of contribution depends on your circumstances and the type of service you receive
We will send you an invoice each month, which shows the contribution amount you will need to pay if applicable.
Staff Travel Costs to Visit you
We do not charge you for your care worker to travel to visit you. However, you can travel with a Great Care care-worker in their car to run errands, visit friends, attend appointments, or do shopping. Please note these travel costs will be charged at $1.75.00 per km. We can also arrange Cab Charge cards for you
